(Macon, IL) - Although Bobby Beiler was fast qualifier and won his heat, he was no match for Argenta's Kevin Crowder. Leading all 25 laps in the $500-to-win Championship Race, Crowder had the best car of the night and proved it with his dominance. Multiple-groove racing was featured throughout the 19-car field and had frantic competition during the event. Gene Reed took second place. Blake Shelley was third and Mike Pundt., Jr. was fourth.
Â
Many other divisions had the leader go from start-to-finish with the win including the Sportsman where Dave Crawley, Sr. reigned supreme again. Tommy Sheppard, Jr. took the Billingsley Towing Modified A-Main, and Garrett Duff went wire-to-wire in the Micro Sprints.
Â
The Hornet divisions were filled with excitement as Steven Stine raced to the checkered flag with Garth Luka and Brian Offer along for the ride. Stine pulled ahead for the victory as Luka took second in the Stock Hornets. Fred Reed, Jr. went from last-to-first to beat Billy Justice in the Outlaw Hornet feature.
Â
The event also included the awesome power of the monster truck RAMINATOR. He took to the track with furry, crushing card and doing wheelies to amaze the race fans.

Macon Speedway hosts the World Hornet Championships next Saturday night along with a full stock car racing show.
