Max Pozsgai
Back on Track
It took a visit back to a famaliar racetrack to get Max Pozsgai and the 7x team back on the right direction. After a few weeks where the PMP Chassis powered Suzuki was plagued by fueling issues, the team found the problem after hotlaps on Friday night at Lincoln Speedway. "We changed our electronic box after hotlaps Friday night and that seemed to fix the problems we've been having, but the fueling was still a little off in the heat race," said Max.
Max started and finished 6th in the heat race lining him up outside row 6 for the feature. Running the bottom of the racetrack to perfection, Max was able to muscle his way to 6th by the end of the race. "The track was tough to pass and everyone was running the bottom. I wish we could have started closer to the front because I think we had a car that could contend for the win!"
Taking the momentum the next night to Macon Speedway where 29 Powri micro sprints were on hand, Max again started 6th in the heat race and raced to 4th again starting him 12th to start the feature. "The track was still very tacky and tough to pass in the heat but luckily we got a couple of passing points and made the feature through the heat." The opposite was true for the feature event, and the racetrack became very rubbered up. Max was still able to work up to 8th securing another top 10 for the weekend. "We thought the racetrack would be slick and racy for the feature but the midgets went out before us and layed rubber down around the top making it one lane and FAST," said Max.
The solid weekend for the 7x team moves them into the 9th position for the Speedway Motors Powri Micro Sprint standings despite missing 4 races.
