POWRi Midgets and Micros Heading To Macon Speedway
Macon, IL. (5/12/23) Hosting the annual Midwest Season Opener on Saturday, May 13th, Macon Speedway will welcome the thrills of the POWRi National Midget League as well as the POWRi Outlaw Micro League presented by Engler Machine & Tool for the initial time of the 2023 season.
Annually upping the ante of open-wheel excitement throughout the Midwest, Macon Speedway prepares for outstanding Saturday, May 13th action including the POWRi National Midget League, and the POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micro League presented by Engler Machine and Tool, as well as the Weddle Performance Engines Sportsman, the 51 Bistro Street Stocks, and Hornets.
Mesa, Arizona driver Corbin Rueschenberg leads the standings in the POWRi Midgets by 150 over Mason City, IL’s Karter Sarff. Cooper Williams, Mariah Ede, and Mitchell Davis complete the top five. The POWRi Midgets always put on an edge-of-your-seat type show.
Collinsville, OK driver, Kale Drake leads the POWRi 600cc Non-Wing Outlaw Micros presented by Engler Machine & Tool. The Macon event, presented by Bailey Chassis will see the drivers race 20 laps in the feature event.
Pit gates open at 3:00 Saturday, grandstands at 5:00, hotlaps are at 6:00, and racing is at 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission is $20, while kids 11 and under are free.
