26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (June 6th, 2017) – Dylan Cappello and his Team RBK crew are looking to get things turned around this weekend in Madera, California. After a fourteenth-place finish in Tucson and a sixth-place finish three weeks ago in Las Vegas after leading sixty-six laps, Cappello is hungry for his first win of the year.
“I’m ready to put all the pieces together this year finally,” he said. “It was tough coming up just short at the Bullring and as a team, we began preparing right away for this weekend. We have evaluated all of our options and we are coming with an even stronger car than what we won with last year at this race.”
Madera has been a place that Cappello has excelled at, finishing no worse than fourth in five starts including last year’s win.
“Madera has always been such a fun race track for me,” said Cappello. “We have had some really strong runs, against some great competition. I found myself, luckily logging a lot of laps behind Scott Winters the first couple years there. I definitely credit him with teaching me how to attack the corners and what your race car needs in order to win the race.”
Cappello knows this is the place that he can get his season back on track and will be focused on making sure he has a car that can compete for the win.
“Like a lot of races in the past, the car that can click off the fastest lap isn’t necessarily the best race car,” he said. “Some competitors seem to struggle here and this is a track my team and I feel strongest at. We are going to attack the weekend exactly how we did last year, focusing on our car and getting the characteristics I feel will win the race. We’ve shown a lot of speed here in the recent races and with how tight this series is we have to go all in. Wins are what we need right now.”
Cappello’s weekend gets underway on Friday night with three thirty-minute practice sessions and one hour-long session to close out the night. Saturday’s racing schedule gets started with two twenty-minute practice sessions followed by Qualifying, a forty-lap B-Main and the seventy-five lap Lucas Oil Modified Feature closes out the weekend at the one-third mile oval.
Dylan would like to thank Ram Mounts, Sears Garage Doors, Spray Nine, Driven Motorsports, Team RBK, Pro Power Racing Engines, Total Power Batteries, Roger Seymour Photography and Bilstein Shocks for their continued support.
