Cancilla finishes p2 in both Late Model classes
Madera, California (3.25.23) -
Cancilla and Mayhew battle in the Junior Late Model Madera club opener. Cancilla was all over the rear bumper and positioned himself to take the lead near the end of the race when a car spun bringing out the caution and forcing a restart. Vito just ran out of laps in this exciting P2 finish.
11 year young Vito Cancilla also raced PRO in which he qualified second quick just behind Matt Erickson who found his way back to victory lane on the first club race of the 2023 racing season. Ericksons car was hooked up for the 40 lap feature but he was chased by the rising young 11 year old star Vito Cancilla that came home in second place. Third was Darrel Herzog, fourth was Henk Gaalswyk Jr, and rounding out the top five was Rick Thompson.
