Monett Motor Speedway
Plans to Open for 50th Season
As we plan to open the Grand Ol’ Lady in its 50th season we will hold an Open Test and Tune on May 9th and our first Points series race on May 16th.
Our racing schedule will change slightly due to social distancing limitations that we need to follow to keep our fans, race teams, and track crew safe. The race originally scheduled for Sunday May 24th will move to Saturday May 23rd and will consist of our normal weekly classes in battle for a Monett Motor Speedway Points Series Championship.
To provide enough room in the pits to follow social distancing protocol we will limit the number of race teams in each division to 20. Race teams attending 80% or more of our events last year will be given priority in registration for our Season Opener on May 16th. Registration must be done via the Monett Motor Speedway Registration Page thru MyRacePass. Priority registration will also be used for the events on May 23rd and May 30th, more details will be released at a later date for these events.
Social distancing of 6 feet or more will be required of spectators thru the month of May. With this guideline families are allowed to sit together while maintaining appropriate distance from other spectators and families. Masks are not mandatory but spectators are encouraged to bring and wear masks if they have them. For the first race of 2020, on May 16th, we will allow spectators to bring their own snacks as track concessions will not be open.
