Back to Back Wins for Paul Nienhiser

Fresh off of his 2nd MOWA win of the season last week at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL, Paul Nienhiser scored his 3rd feature win of the year! This time at Jacksonville Speedway in front of his hometown crowd during a weekly racing event.
He started the night off strong, winning his heat race after starting 4th, navigating the already narrow cushion all the way around the outside of the track. The track crew did a phenomenal job getting the track into racing condition, after the Morgan County fair had been going on the previous week.
His heat race passing points were enough to be the high point getter of the night, starting him on the pole of the 25 lap main event. The opening 2 laps saw Paul trade the lead with AJ Bruns several times, both throwing slide jobs in every corner. After near contact that got Paul sideways, he lost another position to Jimmy Hurley. As Paul settled in and got passed Hurley to take back second, the yellow flag flew for a stopped car on the track. Taking advantage of the next restart, Paul used the even narrower cushion now, to power past both lead cars and retake the lead. When the checkered flag flew he had over a half-track lead over the second place car, while getting into victory lane for the first time in a sprint car in front of his hometown fans.
