Action at Murray County Speedway

Friday August 26th was a great night for racing action at the Murray County Speedway. The races were sponsored by Independent Ag of Slayton MN.

MCRA S&S Electric Pick ups
Matt Odom and Aranda Forsberg lead the field to the start. As the green flag drops Odom jumps out front with the lead. Jon Joehnck challenges Odom for the lead. Joehnck is able to take over the lead. Jordan Rolling makes his way around Odom for second place. Rolling challenges Joehnck for the lead. Jason Wynia challenges Forsberg for fourth place. Joehnck is able to hold off for the win with Rolling and Odom following close behind.

IMCA Last Chance Auto Parts Sport Compacts
Jason Bolte and Tori Groebner leads the field onto the track. As the green flag drops Joshua Uhl jumps out front with the lead. A caution is out for Groebner. It will be a full restart. As the green flag drops again Bolte and Uhl battle for the lead. Uhl pulls away. Matt Smith and Bolte go side by side for second place. A caution is out for Cole Bassett having a flat tire. On the restart Bolte jumps out in front. Smith makes his way around Bolte for the lead. Uhl passes Bolte for second place. Neil Forsberg, Bolte, and Joe Bunkofske go three wide for third place. Forsberg pulls away with third place. Forsberg passes Uhl for second place. Smith is able to hold off for the win with Forsberg and Uhl following close behind.

IMCA Bolluyt Trucking Hobby Stocks
Cody Ross and Derek Platt lead the field to the start. As the green flag waves Brad Snyder, Ross, and Platt go three wide for the lead. Justin Luinenberg, Trevor Holm, and Adam Snyder go three wide for fifth place. Platt takes over the first place position. Brad Snyder, Luinenberg, Adam Snyder, Ross go four wide into turns one and two for fourth place. Luinenberg, and Brad Snyder go side by side for second place. Cory Probst makes his way around Platt for the lead. Holm challenges Brad Snyder for fifth place. Holm is able to take fifth place. Luinenberg challenges Probst for the lead. Holm Challenge Adam Snyder for third place. Probst is able to hold off Luinenberg for the lead after laps of side by side racing. Holm takes over the third place positon. Probst is able to hold off for the win with Luinenberg, and Adam Snyder following close behind. Holm broke and axel coming to the finish line.

Denis Gates, and Brycen Johnson lead the field to the green. As the green flag drops Gates jumps out to the early lead. Derek Barglof makes his way around Gates for the lead. Jim Horejsi takes the lead from Barglof. Cole Bents makes his way around Gates for the third place position. Danny Myrvold takes fourth place away from Gates. Bents challenges Barglof for second place and takes it. A caution is out for Wade Gunnick. On the restart Horejsi jumps out with the lead. Bents and Myrvold go side by side for second place. Bents pulls away with second place. A caution is out for debris and will be charged Barglof. On the restart Horejsi takes the lead. Bents and Van Ede go side by side for second place. Van Ede takes it at the line. Horejsi is able to hold off for the win with Van Ede and Bents following close behind.

Mike Carlson and Devin Kuehne lead the field to the start. As the green flag waves Kuehne jumps out to the early. A caution is out for Carlson for a spin causing a full restart. On the start Nick Johansen and Kuehne go side by side for the lead. Johansen takes the lead. Kevin DeBaere and Gary Mattison go side by side for the fifth place position. DeBaere takes the fifth place position. Jake Bruns challenges Kuehne for second place. Dustin Larson takes the second place position. Bruns takes the third place position. DeBaere challenges Kuehne for fourth place. A caution is out for debris on the track. On the restart Larson takes the lead. Kuehne passes DeBaere for fourth place. A caution is out for Dan Mackenthun. Larson jumps out to the lead. DeBaere takes second place. Larson is able to hold off for the win with DeBaere and Johansen following close behind.

IMCA R&H Sealcoating Mods
Bruce Egeland and Josh Bonnstetter lead the field to the start. As the green flag drops Aaron Krohn, Egeland, and Dalton Magers go three wide for the lead. Jesse Rogotkze and Bonnstetter go side by side for fourth place position. Krohn takes the lead. Bonnstetter takes the fourth place position. Tyler Limoges passes Rogotkze for fifth place. Bonnstetter takes third place. Krohn is able to hold off for the win with Limoges, and Magers following close behind.

Friday September second will be championship night at the speedway. The races will be sponsored by Chandler Co-op and Croplan Genetics.
