FenderFest & Champions Night Saturday Oct 3
Jefferson, SD-The rumble of the Super Late Model Racing Series headlines FenderFest sponsored by Zeitner & Sons Inc. and Nygren’s True Value this coming Saturday Night. This is also the makeup night of the Park Jefferson Season Championship for all 5 great classes.
The Park Jefferson season titles will be on the line in all 5 classes with 4 of the classes separated by just a couple of points. In addition, point fund checks to the top 10 in points will be on the line as every division has drivers outside the top 10 who could end up in the top 10.
Bob Moore holds a slip 3 point lead over Jim Thies for the Sign Masters A Modifieds. In the J&J Fitting Stock Cars, Justin Regnerus is also a slip 3 points ahead of Paul Wenzlaff. Todd Boulware has captures the Petersen Machine Sport Mod title unless a mechanical issue were to sideline him. If so, Karl Brewer could make the move into the top spot. Andy Hoffman and Mike Hanson sit 3 points separated in the Hobby Stock Division. The biggest race of the night will be in the Sport Compacts. No less than 6 cars could claim the top spot, with the top four being separated by only 5 points. With the draw/redraw format in play, all drivers have a shot and there could even be some drop ins looking to cash checks in every division as most tracks are closed.
In addition to this great action, late models return for the final time to Park Jefferson for the 2015 season. After some phenomenal racing early in the spring the super late models will show up courtesy of the SLMR series. Zeitner & Sons Inc. have stepped up to make this a Super Series race with the winner taking home $2,000 first place check. Drivers like Kyle Berck, Tad Pospisil and Corey Zeitner will be on hand to target the large first place check.
Pit gates open at 4 with the main gate opening at 5pm. Hotlaps will be at 5:30 with racing at 6pm. Adults are $17 and Children are $5.
