Dover Racing at Rapid Speedway and Park Jefferson International Speedway This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Aug. 17, 2020) – Jack Dover is bound for a pair Midwest ovals this weekend.

Dover will join the Midwest Power Series and Midwest Sprint Touring Series on Friday at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Saturday at Park Jefferson International Speedway in North Sioux City, S.D.

“We’ve won a lot of races and we know we can go fast,” he said. “We just have to run a new car and hopefully we’ll have the bugs worked out of it quickly.”

Dover is shifting to a backup car – one he used for the last two years prior to 2020 – this weekend after his primary race car was destroyed during a crash earlier this month. Dover said he has a clean bill of health after taking last weekend off and is excited to head to two of his most successful tracks.

Dover has won four of six starts at Rapid Speedway the last three years. He finished second during both races he didn’t win in that span.

“It seems like we go pretty well on 3/8-mile tracks,” he said. “We’ve found something that works for us and pretty much have the same setup. We have a good motor and know the car works since we’ve ran it before.”

Dover has also been victorious at Park Jefferson International Speedway during six of the last seven years. He has nine wins at the track during that time.

“We’ve ran there so many times and have found something that works for us,” he said. “I feel really confident.”
