Tri State Late Models presented by Zeitner plus I State Truck Centers Championship Night
The Park Jefferson Speedway will host the I State Truck Centers IMCA Championship night along with the Tri State Late Model Series presented by Zeitner & Sons on Saturday August 14th.
Thanks to the Zeitner & Sons Trucking and refrigerated trucking, the track will host the Tri State Late Models to bring the big horsepower late models to the Park Jefferson Speedway for a huge prize of $2,000 to win. Drivers from around the area will target this event to let the dirt fly. The late models are a popular touring series in Sioux City as Park Jefferson originally was one of the hosts on the NASCAR late model circuit which featured I 80 Speedway and Sunset Speedway. A good field is expected from South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa based teams.
Saturday will also see the I-State Truck Centers Season Championship night for the IMCA Modifieds, J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Cars and Z98 IMCA Sport Modifieds. Drivers will be facing a big 3 race week which will culminate in the final track point standings for 2021.
In addition, at intermission Park Jefferson will recognize the top 3 drivers in each division with their championship trophies and plaques from the 2020 season in IMCA Modifieds, J&J Fitting Stock Cars, Z98 Sport Mods, Q & Feather Again Hobby Stocks and Fox 620 Sport Compacts.
Gates open at 5pm for competitors, 6pm for spectators. Hot laps are slated for 6:30 pm and racing at 7:00 pm. Adult tickets are $17, seniors $15 and kids 6-16 $5. Under 6 are free. Pits are $35.
