Mike Benedum scores trio of sixth-place finishes in revival of Pennsboro Speedway
Mike Benedum took part in the reopening of the famous Pennsboro (W.Va.) Speedway as he attended the Mason-Dixon 100 with the XR Super Series.
With 27 Super Late Models checked in for the revival, Benedum qualified ninth-quickest before finishing third in his heat race. Mike started the $10,000-to-win feature from the fifth-row and made up three spots to finish just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
On Friday, Mike finished third in his heat race before the evening was cut short due to a rogue rain shower. Benedum finished sixth in the make-up feature on Saturday afternoon.
Racing his way into the $30,000-to-win finale on Saturday evening with a runner-up outing in his heat race, Mike made up two spots in the 50-lap feature to land just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
