A SOLID MUDSLINGIN’ DEBUT FOR GOODWIN AT PLYMOUTH

PLYMOUTH, INDIANA – August 27th, 2016 - After a week of trying to get behind the wheel, Mother Nature finally allowed Garett to do so. It’s been 10 months since you’ve seen the GGR Hauler make an appearance at the racetrack…however it wasn’t your usual track you’d see it at…a DIRT track. The team unloaded the car to prepare for Garett’s practice session. The goal for the night was to learn as much as they could, to get faster though out the night, and to finish the race.

The five-lap practice session went great! Garett was shaking down the car and started hitting consistent lap times. The heat race came around and Goodwin rolled out there in the 9th starting position. When the green flag dropped, Goodwin shot to the outside and started moving his way towards the front. In the eight-lap heat race, Garett was able to finish in the 6th position.

Getting himself strapped in for his first feature of 2016, Goodwin had 20 laps to see what he could do from the 17th starting position. After avoiding a major wreck in turn 4, Goodwin was able to bring the #83 home in the 12th position.

“Man, that was sure a work out…but it was a blast,” states Goodwin, “I learned a lot out there, but I got a lot more to learn. My goal was just to finish the best I could and make the boss man (TMAC) up there proud.”
