Port City Raceway to Host Night Three of the Lucas Oil NOW600 Stars and Stripes Shootout on Sunday

TULSA, Okla. (July 3, 2018) - After a successful return of the Donnie Ray Crawford Memorial last weekend to its home, the focus turns toward this Sunday night as the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series makes its fifth and final appearance at Port City Raceway for the third night of the Stars and Stripes Shootout.

In the last event at Port City Raceway for the Lucas Oil NOW600 National Series, Jerry McGinnis scored the Non-Wing feature event. Frank Flud picked up the A-Class win and Ryan Timms won in the Restricted class during the finale of Sooner 600 Week on June 23.

The Sunday Night Showdown will be a points event for all six classes. There will NOT be any racing on Saturday, July 7 as we are taking off for the two-day event at Arkoma Speedway.

Brock Berreth currently leads the POWRi Outlaw point standings with a 95 point lead over Frank Flud. Curtis Jones is third. Cole Roberts fourth with Kevin Bayer rounding out the top five.

In POWRi Sportsman competition, Ryan Cody leads the way with a 21 point advantage over Jeremy Wickham. Dave Nicholson stands on the final spot of the podium. Bobby McIntosh is fourth and Randy Myers fifth.

Curtis Jones holds a 37 point lead over Ronnie James in the POWRi Non-Wing division. Jake Nail sits in third with Jerry McGinnis fourth and Frank Flud fifth.

Only 10 points separates Caleb Pence and Frank Flud in the POWRi A-Class division. Steven Curbow sits 22 points behind Pence. Jake Nail is fourth with Gage Laney bringing up the top five.

Baron Silva sits on top of the POWRi Restricted class with a 21 point advantage over, Shawn Mahaffey. Ryker Pace is third. Kaden Smith fourth and Glenn James Bratti fifth.

Hayden Mabe has a healthy lead in the POWRi Junior Sprint class as 92 points operates Mabe and Brody McClelland. Jase Blevins is third. Parker Scheulen holds down fourth and Bryson Mosley is fifth.

Drivers in the Restricted, A-Class and Non-Wing divisions will sign in at the NOW600 competition trailer on Sunday, while the Junior Sprint, Sportsman and Outlaws will sign in at the pit shack.

There is a $300 bonus to the driver in each NOW600 class that is the highest point finisher between July 6-7 at Arkoma and July 8 at Port City.

Sunday nights racing will get underway at 6pm. Hot laps are slated for 5pm with Gates opening at 3pm. Drivers Meeting will be held at 4:30pm.

Adults are $10. Kids 6-12 & Seniors are $6, Kid 5 & Under along with Veterans are FREE! Pit Passes are $30.
