Jones Doubles Up, Laney, McIntosh, Young, Griggs and Morris Masters USAC Weekly Racing at Port City Raceway

TULSA, Okla. (July 28, 2019) - Curtis Jones doubled up on victories as Gage Laney, Bobby McIntosh, Kylee Young, Lathe Griggs and Ruben Morris all master the fields on Saturday night during USAC Weekly Racing at Port City Raceway.

118 entries were on hand featuring 15 Winged Outlaws, 24 Non-Wing, 22 A-Class, 15 Sportsman, 16 Restricted, 14 Junior Sprints and 12 Masters.

Curtis Jones captured the USAC Outlaw feature event win on Saturday night from the outside front row. KJ Snow came from twelfth to cross in second. Jake Nail finished in the third spot with Gunner Bowden fourth and Paul Hendrix the top five.

Garrett Olson, Bryant Wiedeman, Danny James, Dalton Brown and Kris Carroll made up the top ten.

Jerrod Wilson and Joel Smith picked up heat wins.

Jones also picked up the victory in the 24 car USAC Non-Wing feature event. Jones rolled from the pole of the feature event to pick up the win. Caleb Pence finished in the runner up spot from the twelfth starting spot. Jake Nail took the third spot with Brock Berreth fourth and Connor Lee rounding out the top five.

Dave Nicholson, Dustin Dixon, Glenn James Bratti, Spencer Mason and Thad Bennett brought up the top ten.

Jeffrey Newell, Jake Nail and Curtis Jones each won a heat race.

Gage Laney lead wire to wire in the USAC A-Class feature event. Laney started on the outside front row of the 25-lap feature event to score the win. Brock Berreth followed suit in second. Third went to Scott Sawyer with Connor Lee fourth. The top five rounded out with Shawn Mahaffey.

Rees Moran, Dooley Harris, Jayson Campbell, Cody Barnes and TJ Thompson rounded out the top ten.

Campbell, Raymond Moore and Lee were victorious in heat race action.

From the pole of the USAC Sportsman feature event, Bobby McIntosh lead it wire to wire to pick up the win. Troy Minton ran second with Ryan Cody coming from thirteenth to finish third. Fourth went to Kayla Ward with Dave Nicholson rounding out the top five.

Randy Myers, Drew Sawyer, Darrius Myers, Tyler LaPointes and Justin Simpson made up the top ten.

McIntosh and Jeff Harris won the nights two heat races.

Kylee Young picked up the 20-lap USAC Restricted victory from the fourth starting spot. Kayden Cole crossed in second with Rees Moran from tenth to third. Brody McLaughlin came from eleventh to finish fourth and thirteenth starting Brady Hilton crossing in fifth.

Aubrey Sppington, Chase Wright, Ethan Ellis, Baron Silva and Freddy Rowland brought up the top ten.

Rowland and Young were heat race winners.

Lathe Griggs scored the USAC Junior Sprint feature event win. Cale McGee took the runner up spot with Ayden Parrish third. Ryker Griggs finished in fourth with Levi Smith crossing in fifth.

Sky Bartholomew, Bryce Kujath, Jaxon Nail, Blake Winkler and Brody McClelland brought up the top ten.

McGee and Parrish were winners in the nights two heat races.

Ruben Morris was victorious in USAC Masters competition. Rob Lamb finished in the second spot with Troy Minton third. Fourth went to Dave Nicholson and Robby Bias finished fifth.

Milton Goolsby, Thad Bennett, Johnny Goolsby, Matt Cash and Tim Greene were the top ten.

Port City Raceway returns to action on Saturday, August 3 with more USAC Weekly Points Racing.
