Important Reminder for all Drivers & Crew Members

Tulsa, OK. (May 13, 2024) As the season continues, we feel it is necessary to restate a few things regarding conduct at Port City Raceway. We understand that racing is something we are all passionate about but would like to remind you that this is a hobby and should be something fun we all enjoy. Just as you spend countless hours and your hard-earned money, we do the same here at Port City Raceway. Our team of officials gives up the majority of their Saturday nights each year so that racers and race fans alike have a place that is safe and enjoyable for all. While we shouldn’t have to go over the following, we feel it is necessary to review.
If a driver OR crew member attempts to get into another driver's car while they are exiting the track, goes to that driver's pit, or starts an altercation anywhere on Port City Raceway property, that driver and team will be banned for two weeks. They will also pay a $500 fine that has to be paid in full before that car/team races again. Alcohol is not allowed in the pit area until all races have been completed. If we find that someone is drinking in the pit area before the races are over, the team said person is with will be suspended for two weeks. They will also pay a $500 fine that must be paid in full before the next time that car/team races. Altercations with employees will not be tolerated and will result in a two-week suspension.
There are no exceptions to these rules. Any team that is fined will be put on probation for the remainder of the year. If something else happens, they will be barred for the rest of the race season. This includes any races where Port City Raceway is leased as well.
We understand this is a two-way street with our staff as well, and a new policy will be put into place for our team as well. Our aim is to foster an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and respected. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at shane@portcityraceway.net
