26 Promotions – Yuma, AZ – (July 19, 2018) – Coming off a top-ten finish at Kern County Raceway three weeks ago, Blake Rogers is ready to take on Rocky Mountain Raceways as the Lucas Oil Modified Series makes its final appearance at the three-eighths-mile oval in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“I really enjoy coming to RMR, it’s a really nice facility with circle track racing on one side of the grandstands and a drag strip on the other,” said Rogers. “The track itself is very nice, it has decent banking and has some character to it. It’s a bummer that the track is closing because it truly is a beautiful facility.”

Rogers enters this weekend in Salt Lake City looking to build off the momentum of an eighth-place finish at Kern County Raceway.

“A top-ten at Kern was definitely what we needed to help turn our season around,” he said. “The main thing in our series is finishing in the top-ten every week to have a good spot in the points at the end of the year. If we can continue to stay out of trouble the rest of the season I have no doubt we will finish with a good spot in the championship standings.”

Rogers believes this could be the weekend the team cracks the top-five for the first time since the season-opening race in Lake Havasu City.

“RMR is a unique track, the corners are shaped alike, but you have to drive them differently,” explained Rogers. “In one and two the corner is pretty forgiving and easier to drive, but three and four have bumps which make it a little challenging especially coming off four. We’re going to try to get the car to have good drive off and try to get the car to rotate the middle of the corner if we can accomplish that we will have a good shot this weekend. I’m hoping for a top-five finish, it’s been a long time, but I think we can get it done if everything goes right.”

The Lucas Oil Products 75 weekend at Rocky Mountain Raceways kicks off on Friday night with practice, Saturday’s racing action will open with practice followed by qualifying, a B-Main or Quick 6 Dash, and the Lucas Oil Modified Series feature will close out the racing program.

Blake Rogers would like to thank Lucas Oil, FIRM Inc., MGM Design, Jacks Auto Parts, Mitchell’s Merchant Patrol, Pacesetter Home Centers, Arce Race Engines, Dune Company of Yuma, Big W Sales, and Super Clean for their continued support.
