Highbanks Hustle for Holzkamper and Guinn!

Salina fans were left wanting more this past weekend thanks to a great show put on by Steve Holzkamper and Kevin Guinn in the modified division. An epic battle that will surly rank as the best race of the year by seasons end! Lap after lap both of these driver raced side by side with mere inches of separation and not one time did they make contact! Back and forth lead changes had the crowd on their feet by race ends as Holzkamper comes back to take the win. In a conversation with Steve today He said " this ranks up in the top ten races wins in his career. I've won some big money race over the years but this is one of the funnest I have driven. Running side by side and not touching, that's the way I like to win!"

Kinzer Edwards makes his first appearance at the track this season in the B Modified division and makes his win in this class the tenth different winner of the year. The B Mod class as a whole has been the class to watch all year and as tough as its been we still have a national points leader in Chris Hawkins. With a little bad luck looming over his race this weekend he should still have a little cushion in the Division II battle.

Grand National Class had another exciting race this week that came down to a three way battle for the win. Jay Rierson claimed the win at the line but was disqualified by track tech officials for an oversize carburetor along with second place finisher Boone Johnson. Both drivers said they would be back and ready for another shot at a win come the next race. With that said it left the No. 77, Zack's Guide Service powered Grand National of Jason Wayne in the winners circle. Wayne said it wasn't how he wanted to win but nonetheless his car was working great. Jason was mixed up right in the middle of the three car battle and was there at the end. Congratulations on your first win in the Grand National division.

Nathan Campbell is on a roll folks. With six wins on the season this past weekend he is pushing his way to the top of the National Points in the Whelen All American Series Division IV. With two more nights of points battles to be hashed out this is sure to come down to the wire.
