Salina Highbanks Speedway
July 15th race night added to schedule
After much deliberation officials at Salina Highbanks Speedway have decided to add a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series points race on Saturday, July 15th. With three events already lost due to rain earlier this season it is in the best interest of our patrons to provide drivers and teams the opportunity to compete in a makeup event that will award track points and state, regional, and national NASCAR points.
This event is in addition to the makeup race recently added on Saturday, July 8th. The tentative plan is to reserve Saturday, July 22nd as on off-week for drivers and teams to take a break and regroup as originally intended. Select NWAAS divisions will be added as support classes to the Oklahoma Open Wheel Thunder Nationals event scheduled for Saturday, August 26th as well. More details regarding which divisions will race that night and other event specifics are TBD.
We apologize for any inconvenience this schedule change may cause. However, after NASCAR approval to add a makeup event and much consideration among management here at the speedway we are providing this notice as early as possible in order for everyone involved in our racing program to plan accordingly.
