Joiner Races in Senoia's Peach State Classic
Despite the remnants of Hurricane Nicole wreaking havoc across the Southeast, track staff at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway was able to get the facility ready for the second annual Peach State Classic.
Friday night found 52 Castrol FloRacing Night in America Super Late Model racers in action at the 3/8-mile oval. Mechanical issues early in the night relegated Joiner to a B-Main. He charged to a fourth-place finish in his B-Main but with only the Top-2 finishers moving onto the feature his night came to an early end.
On Saturday evening, 48 drivers returned for action. Struggles in qualifying positioned Joseph eighth on the heat race grid. He advanced to a sixth-place finish in his 10-lap heat race. Starting the B-Main in fourth he raced to a fourth-place finish, which locked Joseph into the 24th-starting spot for the $53,053-to-win finale.
He retired early from the feature and was credited with a 24th-place finish.
