Siskiyou Motor Speedway set to open up 2018 Speedweek Northwest Monday July 9th
By Ben Deatherage (Yreka, CA) -- Once again Speedweek Northwest will begin in California as the Western Sprint Tour prepares for the 2018 schedule on Monday, July 9th. Siskiyou Motor Speedway, in Yreka, will be the starting off point of the week for the third time ever. 2016 is the only time they have not hosted the first leg of Speedweek and it is still the only track in the Golden State to host a Speedweek event.
Front Gates open at 4:00 PM, Qualifying at 5:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets are $15.00 for General Admission (10 & Up) while Kids (9 & Under) are FREE. Advanced tickets and more information can be found at http://sprints.nwextremeseries.com
In four previous Speedweek Northwest events at SMS there have been four different winners. Kyle Hirst, Colby Copeland, Mitchell Faccinto, and Justyn Cox have all parked it on the front stretch. Ironically, all four wins have accumulated by California drivers.
