'24 CFNiA Season Opens this Wednesday

AUSTIN, Texas (May 6, 2024) — The 2024 season for Castrol® FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota kicks off the third Illinois Speedweeks this Wednesday, May 8 at Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Ill.) before invading Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway on Thursday, May 9.

The fourth season for the popular miniseries has a talented cast of characters already voicing an intent to take aim on the championship. Drivers who have already thrown their name into the championship contender bucket include defending champ, Bobby Pierce along with 2022 champion, Brandon Sheppard.

Additionally, the early-season potential full-time roster includes the likes of Ricky Thornton Jr., Tim McCreadie, Devin Moran, Dennis Erb Jr., Daulton Wilson, Garrett Alberson, Tyler Erb, Max Blair, Carson Ferguson, Mike Marlar and Tanner English.

Once the season finally comes to life additional possible candidates are expected to surface as well.

For the second-straight year the miniseries boasts a lofty $75,000 champion’s take if a driver has perfect attendance or a guaranteed $50,000 without perfect attendance.

Ten events, spanning nine facilities, are scheduled for the series in 2024 with a driver’s best eight finishes counting toward the final championship standings.

The second-place finisher will receive $20,000, while third in the final standings will receive $10,000.
The total point payout for the 2024 Castrol® FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota, which exceeds $137,000 is as follows:

The upcoming doubleheader will find a bevy of national, regional, and local drivers vying for top honors as the third annual Illinois Speedweek roars to life.

On Wednesday, May 8 a $20,000-to-win / $1,000-to-start event opens the miniseries season at Spoon River Speedway. Brandon Sheppard won the series debut at the 3/8-mile oval in 2022 and Dennis Erb Jr. was triumphant in 2023.

Joining the night’s action will be the DIRTcar Modifieds, competing for a $3,000 top prize.

Reserved seat tickets (ages 13-and-up) are $40 with kid’s reserved seat tickets (ages 12-and-under) $10. The Top-5 rows are reserved seating only. Day of show general admission tickets (ages 13-and-up) are $40 with kid’s day of show general admission tickets (ages 12-and-under) $10. Pit passes (ages 13-and-up) are $45, while pit passes for ages 12-and-under are $20. Advanced tickets can be purchased at www.myracepass.com/tracks/2604/tickets/1390980 .

The pit gate opens at 10 a.m. CT with the grandstand gate opening at 2 p.m. The driver’s meeting is at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing action to follow.

The action then shifts to Lincoln Speedway on Thursday, May 9 with another $20,000-to-win / $1,000-to-start Castrol® FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota program. Dennis Erb Jr. won with the series at the ¼-mile oval in 2022, while Hudson O’Neal was victorious in 2023.

DIRTcar Modifieds ($2,000-to-win) will also be on the docket on a night presented by Graue Inc. Chevrolet Buick of Lincoln.

The pit gate opens at 3 p.m. CT with the grandstand gate opening at 4 p.m. The driver’s meeting is at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing action to follow.

Advanced grandstand tickets (ages 12-and-up) are $35, while advanced grandstand tickets (ages 11-and-under) are $5. Day of show grandstand tickets (ages 12-and-up) are $40 with children (ages 11-and-under) $10. Pit passes are $45.
