2022 Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway Tire Rules
The F-70 will be the tire used in the following divisions: OSLM, MODS, L/S, and STREET STOCKS.
In 2022 the L/S and SS divisions will have tire purchase limits. A maximum of 6 tires in inventory will be allowed per car (ONLY SIX NEW OR USED).
Tire inventory will be controlled by track officials using HOOSIER'S track side management. Each tire has a specific bar code which will allow us to monitor tires, we will refer to these tires as FEATURE TIRE INVENTORY. With this system all it takes is a simple scan to determine where any tire belongs or NOT. We will not implement a tire impound, making sure you are on the correct FEATURE TIRE INVENTORY will be up to the driver and policed by track officials.
You MUST compete or perform on each race day to purchase or add tires to your inventory. NO tires will be sold to you if you are not racing that day.
After your start up inventory has been recorded purchase limits will be as follows:
LATE MODEL/SPORTSMAN will be allowed to rotate TWO (2) tires from inventory each week (NEW OR USED).
STREET STOCKS will be allowed to rotate ONE (1) tire from inventory each week (NEW OR USED).
Flats, damaged, busted or bad tires must be brought to track officials on the rim for replacement approval (NO EXCEPTIONS).
The top 5 driver's from these divisions features will be checked for correct FEATURE TIRE INVENTORY, after your feature race you must go directly to tech to confirm your inventory is approved. ANY tire found on your race car that is not part of your inventory will result in disqualification for that event. (NO POINTS, OR PAY FOR PERFORMANCE).
NO TIRE SOAK WILL BE TOLERATED.
Special events are excluded from these tire rules.
Stay tuned we have several things to announce over the next week or so and hope to answer all your questions for the up coming race season!
