April 4 Frostbuster starts season at Stuart Speedway

STUART, Iowa (March 29) – Stuart Speedway opens for the new race season next Thursday, hosting night two of IMCA Frostbuster Week.

The April 4 show at Stuart sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 to win and both Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win.

Pit gates and the grandstand open at 5 p.m. with 6:45 p.m. hot laps and racing to follow. Spectator admission is $20 for adults and $10 for students ages 11-17, with kids 10 and under free. Pit passes are $35.

Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts race for $400 to win at Stuart and outlaw mini mods will also race on April 4.

Other Frostbuster dates are April 3 at Independence Motor Speedway, April 5 at Marshalltown Speedway, April 6 at Boone Speedway and April 7 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton.

Drivers in each division with top point totals over the course of the tour earn the biggest share of $1,000 point funds and become eligible to qualify for race of champions events at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

IMCA.TV broadcasts the Independence, Stuart, Boone and Benton County Frostbusters.

Stock Car series action comes to Stuart on April 17; the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season begins April 24.
