Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park will be hosting the final point race of 2014 on Saturday September 13th for their annual Championship Night. Divisions that will crown champions include the IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Northwest Extreme Modifieds, Pure Stocks, 4-Bee’s, Dwarf Cars, Micro Sprints, and the Womens. It will be main events only and top ten in points will be locked into the first five rows. A fireworks display will take place once all of the racing has concluded.

Doug Lockwood not only is the point leader but also the driver with the most wins with four, including last Saturday’s Topless Modified Mayhem 100 presented by Dancin Bare. Craig Cassell with his two triumphs is the only other multi-feature winner while Rob Ireland, Matt Jenner, Jerry Schram, Bubba Foster, Mark Carrell, and Travis Peery have won once.

John Ireland’s four main event wins leads the Street Stock division headed into the final round while Brian Roden, Tony Catalano, Marc Farrar, and Freya Smith have two wins a piece. Drivers with single feature wins include Earl Claypool Jr. and Roger Hubbard.

In the other Mod class, the Northwest Extreme Modifieds, Oscar Luckman has an impressive four visits to victory lane. Randy O’Connor has managed two wins and the other victor includes Brandon Potter with just one.

In the Pure Stock ranks Ken Schave and Trevor LaBarge are tied with three wins in 2014. The only other drivers to have won in the class include Gabrielle Hollinger and Bert Pegg.

The Dwarf Cars have competed in a two track series including Cottage Grove and Sunset. Their points are aggregated between all of the races with Ryan Martinez holding a commanding lead in both points and the win chart. Martinez has a total of six victories while Guy Tow Jr. has two. Guy Tow Sr., Chris McCleary, and Corey Esteban are single race victors.

In the Womens division Gabrielle Hollinger is the standings leader and has the most wins with two. Marcie Treat and Cori Vandercoering have one win each.

Last but not least the 4-Bee’s John Garter has managed five trips to victory lane while Travis Koch has done so four times. Bo Jones, Stan Asanovic, and Chris Bataglia all have one win each.

Dustin O’Brien is the only repeat winner in Micro Sprint action as he has two wins including the most recent one. Kaitlyn Hammer, Spud Allen, Jeff Broadwell, and Brock Hallett have visited victory lane juist once. Jake Tupper enters the final race as the point leader.

Tickets are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE. Racing is scheduled to get underway around 6:00 PM.

Don’t forget that there is going to be a test and tune practice the following afternoon on Sunday September 14th. The practice will begin around 3:00 PM and will wrap up at dusk. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
