IMCA SPORT MOD CLARIFICATION FOR SSP AND CGS
IMCA SPORT MOD CLARIFICATION FOR SSP AND CGS
We would like to clear up any confusion regarding the 2015 rules for the IMCA Sport Mod class for both Cottage Grove Speedway and Sunset Speedway Park. The 2015 class will have the option to follow the Northwest Extreme Modified rules that were put in place in 2014 or can conform to the 2015/2016 IMCA Sport Mod transition rules posted. As was stated in a previous press release this class is transitioning to a full blown IMCA Sport Mod class. All cars will be eligible for points, however if you plan to travel to another facility other than Cottage Grove or Sunset Speedways you will need to comply to the IMCA Sport Mod Rule package.
On both facility's respected rules packages there is a document titled “IMCA Sport Mod Phase In Rules”. Those rules are optional for 2015, not mandatory, but will be mandated in 2016. In 2017 all IMCA Sport Mods must be compliant with the IMCA Northern Sport Mods rules package. We hope this release clears up any confusion that any teams may have had. Below are links to all of the respected rules.
