John Ireland Scores Second Straight SSP Street Stock Championship

Despite just winning one main event in 2015 John Ireland managed to get the job done in the Street Stock ranks at Sunset Speedway Park. The Banks veteran would win his second consecutive championship in his Ireland & Ireland PC/Applebee Aviation/Klecker Knives/Privateer Racing #88 Monte Carlo. It would be a tight points battle with Ireland having a twelve point advantage after the final race of the year.
In fifteen starts Ireland managed to post twelve top five finishes and thirteen top tens. As mentioned previously he would only obtain one victory and that was on June 13th. He was second in main event competition four times including the last race of the campaign.
