Banks, Oregon- Racing returns to Sunset Speedway Park after last weekend’s rain out. Although weather has not been as cooperative lately it appears that the wet stuff is behind us and the “Banks Bullring” will be roaring once again. This Saturday, May 20th, is Armed Forces Night and all Military members get into the races for just $5.00. Classes that will be racing include the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and New Bees.
The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, and 4-Bee divisions have witnessed one race completed for their classifications in 2017. Bubba Foster, Rob Ferree, and Bob Berg managed to collect wins a few weeks ago. The Dwarf Cars and New Bee ranks look to get in their first race of the new campaign. If you love Dwarf Car racing then you don’t want to miss Saturday night as the Northwest Dwarf Cars will be taking on the Pacific Hardtop Racing Association (PHRA). A very good Dwarf count is expected.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children (5 and Under) are FREE. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
