BAPS Motor Speedway Renews Contract with the Cushion for a 13-Race Pay-Per-View Deal for 2020
YORK HAVEN, Pa.: Pay-Per-View has become a hot topic across the United States, and specifically in the central Pennsylvania region.
It’s an area that boasts plenty of fans and a variety of divisions. So, it stands to reason that streaming companies would want to scoop up dirt tracks in the Keystone State.
BAPS Motor Speedway is no different. But like other tracks in Central Pa., the management team at the York Haven facility is going to stay with its current provider.
The Cushion has broadcast select events at BAPS Motor Speedway the last couple of years. Track owner Scott Gobrecht and general manager Kolten Gouse have been pleased with the arrangement and are anxious to partner with The Cushion again in 2020.
“We have built a strong relationship with Ian [Marvuglio] and Brian [Harmdierks],” Gouse said. “They produce a great product and put an emphasis on putting together a quality broadcast.
“One of our goals is to provide stable partnerships at the speedway, and that includes signing on again with The Cushion. They do a great job, and we look forward to working with them this year and in the future.”
This year’s slate consists of 13 events. Six of the broadcasts will feature the 410 Sprint Car division, including the May 3rd Select Collision Kevin Gobrecht Classic, June 4th Greg Hodnett Foundation Race, and the Capitol Renegade Sprint Showdown on Nov. 14, which will pay $10,000 to the winner.
The schedule includes the 46th annual Super Sportsman 100 presented by 3M and the Dirty 30. Another highlight will be the Meyers RV Monster Truck Mania event on June 30th.
“We look forward to showcasing all of our divisions at the speedway,” Gouse said. “Our goal is to not only expand our viewership and bring BAPS Motor Speedway to people in their homes, we want to give our drivers and teams exposure across the United States.
“It’s going to be a great year at BAPS Motor Speedway, and our Pay-Per-View packages with The Cushion is going to be a big part of that.”
