BAPS Adds 602 Modifieds "Six Pack" Series to 2021 Schedule
YORK HAVEN, Pa.: Modified racing is a part of the rich history that has made BAPS Motor Speedway the racetrack that it is today.
Speedway owner Scott Gobrecht and General Manager Kolten Gouse continue to merge the past with the present to make the York Haven, Pa., facility the best of both worlds.
On Friday, the management team of BAPS Motor Speedway announced that they will hold a 602 Crate Modified Six-Pack Series, which will feature six races throughout the 2021 season. The series will be presented by FXG Sign and Label and Dickey’s Barbeque.
“Modifieds have always had a strong history at BAPS Motor Speedway and over the offseason, we had some sponsors who wanted to bring some of it back in 2021,” Gouse said.
“We are very excited to have FXG Sign and Label and Dickey’s Barbeque step up and sponsor these races. One of the unique things about this series is that the point champion will receive a free 602 crate motor from Pace Performance thanks to FXG Sign and Label, which is pretty cool.”
The winner of each 602 Crate Modified event will receive a minimum of $1,000. The first event will take place April 10 and will feature double start money.
There are a couple of special events in this series. On July 31, the winner will receive $1,250 and $150 to start. It will be a big October for the series, with two-day 602 Modified 30. The winner of the finale will receive $1,500. It will be $225 to start.
“This series gives us a chance to give back to the drivers at the pay window,” Gouse said. “We hope to build this division and make it a part of BAPS Motor Speedway for years to come.”
