Super Sportsman Tour Returns in 2021
York Haven, Pa.: The Super Sportsman division continues to have a strong presence on the central Pennsylvania dirt-track scene.
Along with being the headline class at BAPS Motor Speedway, Kolten Gouse brought back the Super Sportsman Tour last season, which is comprised of select shows at the flagship track and other facilities in the region.
Thanks to the continued support of Marysville Motorcars, the Super Sportsman Tour will continue in 2021 with a schedule that includes eight races at three different tracks. Lincoln Speedway and Trail-Way Speedway have also committed to the tour.
“We are happy to bring back the Super Sportsman Tour for another season,” Gouse said. “Marysville Motorcars has been a long-time supporter of the division and have stepped up to be a part of this series.
“This series helps showcase the Super Sportsman division at other speedways and gives the drivers a chance to get more experience. We are looking forward to another season and growing this tour for years to come.”
Four races on the slate feature bigger paydays for the winner. The Larry Jackson Nationals pays $2,569 to the winner on April 24. The Dellinger’s Auto Body Firecracker 40 features a $2,500 payday on July 3, with the Dirty Deeds Fab Dirty 30 handing out $3,000 to the champion on Sept. 26. The final race of the series is the Gambler’s Race, which pays $2,000-to-win on Oct. 9. All four races will be held at BAPS Motor Speedway.
The first race of the series will also be held at BAPS Motor Speedway on March 27. Lincoln Speedway will hold a pair of events on May 8 and June 19. Trail-Way Speedway will take centerstage on June 12. The point champion after eight races will receive $1,000. The top five in standings will receive point money.
