Modifieds Return to BAPS, Join 410 Sprint Cars in May 2nd Double-Header
YORK HAVEN, PA – It’s the best double-header in racing, 410 Sprint Cars and Modifieds.
On Sunday, May 2, the Select Collision Kevin Gobrecht Classic takes to the BAPS Motor Speedway with the 410 Sprint Cars joined with the Pennsylvania 358 Modifieds.
“We don’t think it gets any better,” said track General Manager Kolten Gouse. “We ended the 2020 season with the Sprint Cars and Modfieds and it was a huge success. We figured why not do it again?”
The Modifieds are racing for a winner’s share of $3,000 with an additional $1,000 on the line if more than 35 cars are in the pit area for the event.
Rules for the 30-lap feature are in line with the spec sealed 358-Modified rules followed by Big Diamond and Grandview Speedways with the weight limit being the following: 2275 (gas) and 2350 (methanol).
Last season the Pa. Modifieds made two appearances at BAPS Motor Speedway with Rick Laubach claiming round one before New York invader Michael Maresca got things done in November.
Pit gates open at 3pm with racing starting promptly at 6pm.
For those that can’t attend, the event will be streamed live on www.sprintcarunlimited.tv.
General admission is $20 with seniors at $15. Students 13-18 are $10 while kids 12 and under are free. A pit pass is $35 for the event.
