BAPS Introduces Kids Eat Free Program

YORK HAVEN, Pa.: Building a younger fanbase for the future is a priority for the BAPS Motor Speedway management team.

A number of programs have been instituted over the last few years. The Red Robin Kid’s Club and other programs have helped build a strong youth following that is adding to the dirt-track community for years to come.

General Manager Kolten Gouse and speedway owner Scott Gobrecht are continuing that trend in 2022. A new program is coming to BAPS Motor Speedway in which kids will eat for free on select Saturday nights throughout the season.

“The main focus of the speedway is to continue to build the next fan and getting kids involved in our events,” Gouse said. “Our demographic has really changed at the speedway over the last three years, and we want to continue that trend.

“Along with building a stronger younger fanbase, this is also a chance to enhance the family experience at the speedway. Prices are going up, and this will help a family of four or five be able to spend time together at an affordable price.”

The first night of the program will be this Saturday night, April 2. Kids will be given a ticket as they enter the speedway and can turn it into the concession stand during the allocated time to receive the free meal.

Each session will last an hour. Start time this Saturday will be 2 p.m., and it will run until 3 p.m. Kids will be given a choice of two meals. The first choice is a grilled cheese and chips. The second choice is a hot dog and chips.

Here is the rest of the Kids Eat Free Schedule:

Saturday, May 7 (5-6 p.m.)

Saturday, June 4 (5-6 p.m.)

Saturday, July 2 (5-6 p.m.)

Saturday, Aug. 6 (5-6 p.m.)
