Beard visits Texas Motor Speedway for Texas Dirt Nationals

Kyle Beard trekked to Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, Texas) on Friday afternoon to compete in preliminary action for the inaugural Texas Dirt Nationals. Drawing 33 Late Models for the two-day event, Kyle clocked in seventh fastest in his group before placing fourth in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Beard gained two spots in the 25-lapper to finish 13th. (Michael Boggs Photography)

The following night, Beard’s fourth-place finish in his heat race positioned him 15th on the starting grid for the $50,000-to-win Texas Dirt Nationals finale. With only 30 laps to gain some ground, Kyle passed three cars to register a 12th-place finish.
