Top 5 finish Frank Little Memorial at Thunder Mountain Speedway

Drake Troutman was one of 28 Super Late Models on hand at Thunder Mountain Speedway (Knox Dale, Pa.) on Friday night for the Frank Little Memorial. Following the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group, Troutman posted a third place finish in his heat, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Charging forward four spots in the 40-lap affair, Drake notched a fifth place finish behind Chub Frank, David Scott, Mason Zeigler, and Mike Pegher Jr.

On Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series (ULMS) sanctioned program, Drake edged his way into the main event with a sixth place finish in his heat. Before the 40-lap feature was able to get underway, Mother Nature made an appearance and postponed the finale to the Butch Renninger Memorial weekend on September 5th.

In his Modified on Sunday afternoon at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (Markleysburg, Pa.), Troutman improved one spot in the main event to place second behind K.C. Burdette.
