26 Promotions – Show Low, AZ – (September 5th, 2017) – Dale Eliason Jr loves racing at Show Low Speedway Park, so when the Micros were on the schedule for Labor Day weekend, it was an easy decision to head up Arizona’s White Mountains and get out of the Phoenix heat for a weekend of racing.

As he does every race, Eliason Jr checked out the track conditions as soon as he arrived at the track.

“We arrived at the track around 4:30 and the track already looked like it was going to be dry slick,” he explained. “I started second in my heat and won, but the car was a tad too tight, so we loosened it up for the main.”

Eliason Jr’s heat race win placed him in the feature re-draw, where he drew the highest pill, lining him up fourth for the feature.

“In the first five laps, I moved up to second and fell back to third and then took over second,” said Eliason Jr. “I tried to reel in Jarrett Martin, but he had his car setup on the bottom and was really fast. Congratulations to Jarrett on his win.”

Eliason Jr’s runner-up finish on Saturday was his fifth podium finish of the year.

“The track looked a little better on Sunday than it did Saturday, but I was excited because it was non-wing,” said Eliason Jr. “I started fourth in the heat and fell back to fifth on the first lap, but I stuck with my line up top and made my way through the field for the heat win.”

That would place Eliason Jr in the feature redraw for the second night and again he’d pull the highest pill.

“We only lowered the air pressure in the tires for the main. I start fourth and ran the top in the first corner to move into second,” he explained. “I took the lead a lap later and stuck with my line on the top even though I thought I was going to flip in each corner, but I kept the car on four wheels for the most part and ended up pulling away from the field for the win. We're also happy to hear that Jarrett Martin is okay after his flip during the feature.”

Eliason Jr now has two wins, seven top five’s, and eleven top ten’s in eighteen races this year.

Next up for Dale Eliason Jr is a return to Power 600 Series action on September 16th at Canyon Speedway Park.
