College Internship - Operations Management

If you are looking for a career in the sports industry, marketing, event planning or business, obtaining an internship with Tri-City Motor Speedway is an excellent way to start your career. TCMS offers internships to college students to gain valuable work experience to prepare you for the next step in your career. This internship runs full season late April through early September (300-400 hours). Applications will be accepted until April 1, 2018, or until the position is filled. Who should apply: College students who want to gain experience running fast-paced events and business operations and currently obtaining a business or sports marketing degree.

Description: The operations management intern position is a broad reaching position which will allow applicants to be involved in many aspects of business operations and learn how to operate large-scale, one-day sporting events. This position will have direct involvement with the entire experience of overseeing the operations and events for the race season. Duties will include, but are not limited to: stadium operations, public relations appearances, promotional planning, talking with sponsors, ticket sales, merchandise sales and marketing.
