Dave Darland Set to Drive the Schuett Racing Inc. Midget at the Jason Leffler Memorial
Philo, IL- Schuett Racing Inc. is proud to announce that Dave Darland of Lincoln, Indiana will drive the #31 Illiana Insurance Agency and Bergfield Farms- sponsored, Esslinger-powered Spike midget in the Jason Leffler Memorial at Wayne County Speedway on Tuesday, August 26th. Dave is familiar with running up front at Wayne County Speedway after his 17th to 3rd place run at the inaugural Jason Leffler Memorial in 2013.
Dave’s impressive career in open wheel racing started in quarter midgets when he was four years old. Ever since, Dave has compiled over 250 feature wins. Dave’s resume includes the 2011 Dana Godfrey Memorial, being a four time Indiana Sprint Week champion, three time winner at the Tony Bettenhausen 100 and Hoosier Hundred, and an eight time winner of the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway. He is only one of five drivers that have been able to capture the elusive USAC Triple Crown Championship. In order to earn a USAC Triple Crown Championship, Dave had to win all three national championships in the Silver Crown, Midget, and Sprint Car.
