Hagar Driving for Destiny Motorsports During Ohio Doubleheader This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – MARION, Ark. (Oct. 7, 2014) – Derek Hagar will return to the Destiny Motorsports No. 9w this weekend during a pair of races in Ohio.

Hagar will kick off the weekend on Friday at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield for the 2nd annual Harvest of Sprints featuring 360ci sprint cars.

“I feel very comfortable going to Waynesfield,” he said. “It’s a little, racy place. I’m looking forward to going there and seeing if we can beat our last result by one spot.”

Hagar finished second in his own car during his first-ever 360ci race at Waynesfield Raceway Park in early July.

He will wrap up this weekend on Saturday at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions.

“It’s one of those race tracks where the more laps you get the better you will be,” he said. “Eldora is different than any place we’ve run at. This will be my third time being up there this year. We have a good car and a good team. It’s up to me.”

Hagar noted that not only is he grateful for the chance to drive for Destiny Motorsports, this will be a good opportunity to prove himself.

“If you go up there and outrun people you start opening eyes,” he said. “Ohio is where the money is and that’s where I’d like to be. I’d like to do 410 stuff and 360 stuff up there. We’ve proven we can go out and win races. We just have to catch that right break.”
