DuQuoin's Ted Horn 100 Up Next!
The next stop on the USAC Silver Crown series schedule is in DuQuoin, Illinois for the Ted Horn 100. This race held at the "Magic Mile" each year is one of the most anticipated Silver Crown races of the season, as the track's unique shape provides for some side-by-side racing that you don't always see at the other dirt miles.
This year, Team 6R Racing will take 4 USAC Silver Crown cars to this event, led by series points leader and 2010 Ted Horn 100 Winner Kody Swanson. Tanner Swanson is fresh off of a 3rd place finish in Springfield and sits 5th in the current series standings. Series Veteran and 2008 Ted Horn 100 Winner Brian Tyler will enter the event in the My Sugar Pie #21, coming off his 2nd place finish in Springfield. Recently added is long time USAC Veteran and USAC Triple Crown Champion Dave Darland in the Team 6R Racing #33. Darland will be looking for his first Ted Horn 100 victory at the Magic Mile.
The event is currently scheduled for Sunday evening, September 1st at the DuQuoin, Illinois State Fairgrounds.
