Wally Austin Wins the Hobby Stock Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday September 28, 2024, was full of excitement with five classes on hand. Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks, 9 cars for 35-laps, Auto Tech Services Mini Stocks, 6 cars for 25-laps, Olympia Overhead Doors Tuners, 20 cars for 27-laps, FSCRA / Super 4s, 8 cars for 25-laps, and Bump to Pass, 18 cars for 20-laps.

Hobby Stock Main Event started with Wally Austin on the pole, and James Warren on the outside. Austin takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 8, turns 1 and 2, Warren and Eric Woods get together, bringing out caution number 1. On lap 10, turns 1 and 2, caution was thrown for debris, bringing out caution number 2. Austin goes on to win the Hobby Stock 35-lap Main event, followed by Warren, Andre Pilon, Joe Champ, and Woods to round out the top five.
Wally Austin had a fast time of 16.086.
Bryce Tyler won the heat race.

Mini Stock Main Event started with Shawn Jones on the pole, and Charles LaMere on the outside. Jones takes the lead on lap 1. After the white flag on lap 24, Jones spins coming out of 2, LaMere takes over the lead and goes on to win the Mini Stock 25-lap Main event, followed by Jones, Ron Schlund Sr., Ron Schlund Jr., and Richard Woolverton to round out the top five.
Charles LaMere had a fast time of 16.128.
Richard Woolverton won the heat race.
Shawn Jones wins Championship.

Tuner Main Event started with Dean Utterback on the pole, and Jordan Peterson on the outside. J. Peterson takes the lead on lap 1. D. Utterback takes the lead on lap 2. Royce Iverson takes the lead on lap 3. On lap 3, back stretch, MaryJane Gallwas car was sitting on the edge of the track, bringing out caution number 1. Zach Wisely takes the lead on lap 4. Josh Leyva takes the lead on lap 6. Wisely re-takes the lead on lap 10. Iverson re-takes the lead on lap 11. On lap 17, back stretch, Dean Cleveland is slow, bringing out caution number 2. D. Utterback re-takes the lead on lap 19. Iverson re-takes the lead on lap 21. Jake Utterback takes the lead on lap 22. Iverson re-takes the lead on lap 23. J. Utterback re-takes the lead on lap 24. Ron Schlund Jr. takes the lead on lap 25 and goes on to win the Tuner 27-lap Main event, followed by D. Utterback, J. Utterback, Artie Champ, and J. Peterson to round out the top five.
Zach Boyatt wins heat race #1, Josh Leyva wins heat race #2, and Jordan Peterson wins heat race #3.
Dean Utterback wins Championship.

FSCRA / Super 4 Main Event started with Gilbert Chamberlain on the pole, and Bob Quarterman on the outside. Quarterman takes the lead on lap 1. Ron Grosvenor takes the lead on lap 3. Craig Neves takes the lead on lap 4. Jeff Jones takes the lead on lap 10. On lap 14, turn 4, yellow was thrown for debris, bringing out caution number 1. On lap 15, front stretch, Vic Rogers and Grosvenor spin, bringing out caution number 2. On the restart of 16, front stretch, Quarterman, Grosvenor, and Roger get together, bringing out caution number 3. Neves re-takes the lead on lap 17. Jones re-takes the lead on lap 18 and goes on to win the FSCRA / Super 4s 25-lap Main event, followed by Neves, Chamberlain, David Wilson, and Rogers to round out the top five.
Jeff Jones had a fast time of 14.627.
Crag Neves won the heat race.

Bump to Pass Main Event started with Brandon Cook on the pole, and Kyle Elliott on the outside. Elliott takes the lead on lap 1. Tony Timlick takes the lead on lap 4. Elliott re-takes the lead on lap 7. Amber Charles takes the lead on lap 12 and goes on to win the Bump-to-pass 20-lap Main event, followed by Caleb Robinson, Kaylee Charles, Johnny Omeara, and Zach Howell to round out the top five.
Kaylee Charles had a fast time of 17.581.
Amber Charles wins heat race #1, and Zach Howell wins heat race #2.
