UPDATE 11/2/18 - Keep the rules input coming to contact@ppms.com - Pro Stock, Hobby Stock, & 4 CYLINDER rules are being evaluated for 2019. We value r

Miley Motor Sports is getting some great input by email. Keep it coming. contact@ppms.com

*Subject: Rules input for Pro Stock, Hobby Stock, or 4 CYLINDER

Please focus on simple changes, realistic weight? Aero ideas? Tire compound, bigger motor, harder tire? that would make all Motors equally competitive on weekly PPMS track conditions in Pro Stocks, Hobby Stocks, and 4 cylinders. Please be honest with your suggestions, as racers, we tend to slant rule options to favor our own program. As promoters we need to look at the big picture for the long run health of weekly racing.

Equalizing motors going forward Miley Motor Sports believes is important to weekly racing at PPMS. It’s painfully obvious what’s happening to weekly Super Late Model Racing. This will be our 31st season of weekly racing, the longest consecutive run by the same team at any regional speedway. We obviously care about weekly racing. We are asking for honest constructive input to make season 31 weekly racing the best it can be at PPMS. We all know resources are limited for all involved, speedways, racers, fans, sponsors. The more we all work together to promote racing the better it will be. There simply are not promoters out there getting rich.

We ask that you do what you can to help make season 31 great at PPMS. Once we get all the feedback on all rules we will evaluate it and make the final decisions. We won’t please everyone, we will aim to do what’s best for the health of the sport at our weekly racing venue, Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway . Thanks again for your input. Matt Miley

Specific input by division we are looking for:

PRO STOCKS - What can we do to tweak existing PENN-OHIO rules using any Hoosier  LM Tire for weekly PPMS racing? We are looking at making the Crate Motor a viable option going forward.

Obvious low cost options may be weight and aero/spoilers.

How about an open honest answer to this hypothetical situation from every PPMS PRO STOCK Racer?

What would My PRO STOCK Team want as a rules break versus Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series cars IF My team HAD TO RUN A 604 CRATE versus the opens weekly at PPMS??? email it to contact@ppms.com

Link to existing rules, note PENN-OHIO races at PPMS will use these rules..

Hobby Stocks

What simple tweaks do we need to make, if any, to existing Hobby Stock rules? Then we, Miley Motor Sports need to take on the responsibility of enforcing those rules Day one.

Obvious things we need input on are weight rules, a mild cam, roller rockers, aftermarket pieces that make cars safer, easier to repair, and don’t kill the wallet.

4 Cylinders - open in 2018

Miley Motor Sports is looking to write our first non Young Gun 4 cylinder racing division rules. Young Guns will remain the same and be limited to teenagers. Please keep in mind 4 cylinders are an entry level non contact division looking to attract new blood to the sport we love. Miley Motor Sports wants Teams to be able to have safe fun racing, take your car home in one piece, and join the fun every Saturday night.

We need rules suggestions that create a level playing field for competitive weekly racing, while always keeping cost as low as possible. We have a clean slate here. We need open, honest input on the best set of rules to continue this as a viable weekly racing division at PPMS. The draft below, using SCDRA 4 cylinder rules has been suggested the most at this point. Let us know how these rules may need tweaked for a competitive balance at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. Send your specific input to contact@ppms.com. Thanks so much for the input we have been given, keep it coming.
