Kids Bike Races and Vendor Night Added to August 26th Racing Program
It’s the best of both worlds! Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping night of family fun as Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway announces the exciting addition of Kids Bike Races and Vendor Night to our racing program for Saturday, August 26th. Geared towards families and children, this event promises to be a memorable experience that combines high-octane racing with an array of activities and vendors to delight both children and parents alike.
Children as young as 3 years old and teenagers up to 16 years old are invited to participate in the bike race portion of this event! This is their opportunity to be in the spotlight like the drivers that they watch each week. These races will take place on the front stretch of the speedway. No electric or gas powered bicycles will be allowed. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY!
The vendor portion of this event will be a welcomed addition to the schedule of events. Keeping our local community as the forefront of our focus, we look forward to hosting some of our local business owners to promote their brand, sell their products, and engage with our loyal and supportive fan base at PPMS. Gates will open an hour early at 4PM for this event to ensure that those attending have ample opportunities to explore these vendors prior to race cars hitting the track surface at 6PM. Vendors will remain open throughout the course of the racing program. Admission to the vendor area is included with the purchase of an event ticket. Adult grandstand admission is just $16, Students aged 16 to 13 years are $10, Children aged 12 to 6 years are $5, Kids 5 and under are always free. Parking for all patrons comes at zero cost.
Any vendors interested in setting up at this event may contact the speedway office by calling (412) 279-RACE or send an email to tabby.ppms@gmail.com with “Vendor Show” in the subject line.
Saturday, August 26th will host Round 2 of the Stephen W. Johnson Memorial Hobby Stock Triple Crown Series, featuring the “Wee” Willie White Memorial presented by Carnegie Beer Outlet. Joining the Hobby Stocks for this TMT Transportation Action Event will be the Rohrich Automotive RUSH Late Models, Penn Ohio Pro Stocks, Crawford Auto Repair Open Four Cylinders, and the All Ways Safe Flagging and Traffic Control Young Guns. The schedule page of the website has been updated with these changes, including the most up-to-date downloadable schedule.
