Swindell SpeedLab’s Tucker Takes Over World of Outlaws Late Model Series iRacing Points Lead After Top Five at Volusia

Inside Line Promotions – AVON, Ind. (July 23, 2019) – Kendal Tucker guided the Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team to a top-five finish on Monday during the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series iRacing event at Volusia Speedway Park.

Tucker’s fifth-place finish also propelled him into the lead in the championship standings at the midpoint of the 10-race series.

“We were a third-place car I feel like for the entire race,” he said during a post-race interview with the iRacing eSports Network. “We were neck in neck in lap times. I’ve got to learn to be more consistent and tighten this thing up a little more.

“I’ve just got to keep doing what I’ve been doing. The formula to this stuff is qualifying good and winning your heat. We’ll keep plugging away at it and hopefully keep putting in these good qualifying times.”

Teammate Blake Matjoulis finished sixth. He currently ranks fourth in the championship standings – only one point out of third.

Fellow Swindell SpeedLab eSports Team driver James Edens ended 18th.

The second half of the season begins next Monday at Kokomo Speedway.
