Massive, State-Wide Storms Force Father’s Day Weekend Cancellation
Keeping the interests of teams and fans first in mind, Volusia Speedway Park officials have canceled Saturday’s Father’s Day Weekend racing due to heavy monsoon rains and high-impact winds that have affected the Central Florida area.
Further evaluation of the local weather forecast in Volusia County, Volusia Speedway Park officials concluded that the persistent rains made the track too saturated and unsafe for racing.
All focus now moves towards the Visit West Volusia Night on Saturday, June 24. The night will include a $2,000 to win 602 Late Model Feature, and a $1,200 to win Pick Your Part Street Stocks. Joining the fun will be the 604 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, and the Thunder Stocks. Pit Gates and Grandstand Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. EST, with Hot Laps beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST.
If you can’t make it to the track, watch the action live on DIRTVision – available either online or through the DIRTVision app.
