Gulf South Region returns to competition
Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (April 1, 2013) The Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf South Region returns to competition this weekend after a three week hiatus following events at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park on March 1 followed by the Battleground Speedway on March 2 that saw Ray Allen Kulhanek and Aaron Reutzel file in their first wins of the 2013 season.
Returning to the Golden Triangle Raceway Park this Friday, April 5, the Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf South Region will be joined by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour in the series lone visit to the Gulf South region.
With the National Tour moving on to Little Rock, Ark. on Saturday night, the Gulf South drivers will make the voyage to Baytown, Texas and the Royal Purple Raceway on April 6. This marks the first of three scheduled appearances by the Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf South Region at the quarter-mile oval.
Events on Friday, April 5 at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park are slated to begin at 7:45 P.M.
The April 6 event at the Royal Purple Raceway will begin at 8 P.M.

The 2013 season marks the twenty-second year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation and into Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real, ASCS also consists of eight different Regions throughout the nation.
