Starks Heading to North Carolina for World of Outlaws Can-Am World Finals

Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (Nov. 5, 2019) – Trey Starks ventures to North Carolina this week for the Can-Am World Finals hosted by The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord.

The Gobrecht Motorsports driver is slated to invade the oval Thursday through Saturday for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event that features qualifying for both the Friday and Saturday program on Thursday evening.

“We’re excited to get back to North Carolina,” Starks said. “That is where (team co-owner) Jeff (McCall) lives and we don’t get to race there very often so we always look forward to it.”

Starks has a 360ci winged sprint car triumph at the track in 2016. He has also led laps during the World Finals and set quick time during qualifying in 2017.

“We’ve run pretty well there throughout the years,” he said. “We definitely have confidence rolling through the gates. It helps that we’ve been to Victory Lane and led laps during a World of Outlaws feature. The key is to get qualified up front and then focus on taking advantage of track position.”

His best World of Outlaws result at the track was a 12th-place showing in 2017.
