Ashton Winger attends World Finals at Charlotte

Ashton Winger trekked to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) on Friday afternoon to return to the driver’s seat of the Gambler Transport Motorsports No. 89 Late Model for the NGK NTK World Finals. On Saturday, Ashton came in fifth in his heat race before grabbing the third-and-final transfer spot in his consolation event. Starting the $12,000-to-win A-Main in 21st, Winger clawed forward six spots in the 40-lap affair to register a 15th-place finish.
