Cla Knight races into night one of World Finals at Charlotte

On Wednesday evening, Cla Knight competed with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series in the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Drawing 70 Late Models on night one of the event, Cla laid down the 16th-fastest lap in his qualifying group before going from sixth-to-fourth in his heat race. With a consolation race win earning Knight the 19th-starting spot, he faded three positions to finish 22nd.

For another $15,000-to-win event on Thursday, Knight followed up the 18th-quickest qualifying effort in his group with a sixth place finish in his heat. Needing a Top-2 finish to transfer, Cla went from sixth-to-fifth in his consolation race before ultimately failing to make the show.

With preliminary points from Wednesday and Thursday earning Cla a fifth-place starting position in his heat, he went on to finish seventh before starting on the inside fourth row in his B-Main. In a last chance effort to make the $25,000-to-win finale, Knight moved up one spot in his consolation to finish sixth.
