Hagar Seeking Wins at Riverside International Speedway and Clayhill Motorsports

Inside Line Promotions – MARION, Ark. (Aug. 12, 2014) – Although Derek Hagar has 11 feature victories this season, it’s been a little more than five weeks since his last trip to Victory Lane.

“It’s been a while so I need to find my way back there,” he joked.

Hagar will have a pair of opportunities this weekend. He will compete on Thursday at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., before wrapping up the weekend on Saturday at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tenn., with the USCS Series.

“We feel pretty confident about this weekend,” he said.

As he should be. Hagar has two victories at Riverside International Speedway this season, including his first career Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour triumph.

“We’ve had our ups and downs at Riverside this year,” he said. “You’ve got to be on your toes there. You never know what you’re going to get. We like it better when its slick. There’s a lot more racing.”

Hagar has also been victorious at Clayhill Motorsports, where he picked up a win in May.

“That place is real dusty and kinda wide,” he said. “It’s more about momentum. You have to keep the car underneath you. It’s a pretty fun track.”
